Confine in discussione
Abstract
In globalization the economy, both financial and productive, goes beyond the boundaries of space and replaces politics in giving meaning to space. But to challenge the political spaces of states and to make their boundaries more and more mobile and changeable are also phenomena of decomposition and recomposition that are more and more accentuated because of the increasing mobility of humans. More than an insurmountable barrier, boundaries are to be seen as a space in motion in which opposing forces act, with results whose balances are sometimes unstable and contingent. The essay tries to question the new features of boundaries in the age of globalization in relation to migratory movements and their relationship with the transformation of citizenship.
